Bodø/Glimt vs Lille: a formidable home record meets a French side still seeking a point
The Norwegian club have won four straight main-stage Champions League home matches. Lille have lost all three league-phase games this season, but arrive at Aspmyra after Olivier Giroud's late winner against Lens.

Bodø/Glimt and Lille have reached Tuesday by contrasting routes. The hosts lost both of their away Champions League matches yet beat Borussia Dortmund in Bodø. Lille have no European points, despite a domestic campaign that brought a derby victory over Lens on Friday. A cold night at Aspmyra cannot be reduced to the table: the immediate test is whether Lille can carry their Ligue 1 response into a ground where the hosts have repeatedly taken the lead.
- Competition: 2026/27 UEFA Champions League, league phase Matchday 4.
- Fixture: Bodø/Glimt at home to Lille.
- Kick-off: Tuesday 3 November, 20:00 UTC; 21:00 CET in Bodø.
- Venue: Aspmyra Stadion, Bodø, Norway.
Bodø's home results offset two difficult away nights
Bodø/Glimt opened with a 5-0 defeat at Bayern Munich, beat Dortmund 1-0 at Aspmyra and lost 4-3 at Napoli. Fredrik Sjøvold scored the winner against Dortmund. UEFA records four successive home wins in the Champions League proper: the other three, last season, came against Manchester City, Inter and Sporting CP. It is a strong record, though not an invincibility claim. Monaco won 1-0 in Bodø in the previous campaign.
Friday's Norwegian league game gave the hosts another illustration of their strengths and risks. They beat Viking 3-2 after an early 2-0 advantage became 2-2; Jens Petter Hauge scored the decisive goal before half-time. The club's match report referred to fatigue and illness within the group, but named no affected players or absentees for Lille. Bodø/Glimt had lost 1-0 to Vålerenga in their preceding league game. Hauge and midfielder Patrick Berg are on UEFA's European squad list, which is not a confirmed starting line-up for Tuesday.
Lille's three Champions League results are 2-3 against Real Betis, 0-3 at Arsenal and 2-4 against Galatasaray: no points, four goals scored and ten conceded. UEFA says their run of European losses has reached five and that they have failed to keep a clean sheet in 11 Champions League matches. Their latest domestic game pointed in another direction. Lille beat Lens 1-0 on 30 October with an 87th-minute goal by Giroud, who came off the bench. Ethan Mbappé, Hákon Haraldsson and Soriba Diaoune started; Berke Özer made a significant save. Giroud's contribution proves he can change a match as a substitute, not that he will have the same role in Norway.
Availability remains open for both sides
Bodø/Glimt
The club had not published a medical bulletin specific to Lille as of 2 November. Its Viking report mentioned fatigue and unspecified illness in the squad without naming a player ruled out of this Champions League fixture. There is therefore no confirmed individual absence list for Tuesday. The match squad and official line-up will settle who among Hauge, Berg and their team-mates can be used.
Lille
Lille's official report of the 30 October Lens derby identified the following situations for that domestic match. It did not establish their status for Bodø:
- Hamza Igamane: missed Lens through injury; no match-specific update had confirmed his status for Tuesday.
- Ayase Ueda: missed Lens through injury; his availability for Norway had not been announced.
- Tiago Santos: missed Lens through injury; a return for this match had not been confirmed.
- Tanguy Nianzou: suspended against Lens in Ligue 1; that sanction cannot automatically be applied to the Champions League.
Giroud appeared from the bench and scored against Lens. Lille had not published a definitive Aspmyra match squad in the sources checked.
The first goal and the space behind the press
Bodø/Glimt have scored first in their last five Champions League home games, according to UEFA. They protected Sjøvold's lead against Dortmund, but the Viking match showed how quickly a 2-0 lead can disappear. Lille conceded at least twice in each of their three European games this season. Should Bodø/Glimt recover the ball high and find Hauge early, the visitors will need to close the spaces they allowed against Betis and Galatasaray.
Lille's Lens win suggests a different route: stay in the game until Giroud can be used, or exploit the movement of Haraldsson and Diaoune. The final team selection depends on the club's next availability update. Bodø/Glimt conceded four at Napoli and three against Viking, so an open game is plausible from recent results, not a prediction. UEFA says this is the first official meeting between the clubs.

Bodø/Glimt can turn their home streak into a more balanced European record. Lille have a chance to earn their first league-phase points, but must show that the resilience seen against Lens can survive a different kind of pressure at Aspmyra.
