magical night of Black Pink at the Coachella festival

The BLACKPINK group heated up the Coachella night again. It was a hot night with splendid performances, full stages and cheers from the audience. Black Pink completed their dream run at Coachella, which was dyed pink with the addition of an official cheering bar.

Yesterday, April 22, Black Pink took the stage as the headliner at America's biggest music festival, the Coachella Valley and Arts Festival, held in Indio, California, USA. It was their second performance after the performance on the 15th.

On the second main stage, Black Pink's presence was felt. The stage was filled with splendid performances and hit songs that excited everyone present and the global audience that was able to watch their performance via Youtube live. Since BLACKPINK's appearance on stage, the public has shown their enthusiasm for this Korean girl group, who proved they were not just a group of pretty girls with spectacular choreography, but a musical band that raised the temperature even more on a hot night.

BlackPink at times declared their love for their audience: “I love Coachella”, “Thank you Coachella” or “I still can't believe we're on the Coachella stage right now”, they commented on stage. The girls no doubt knew they had surpassed their male K-POP peers, closing the night of the world's biggest music festival, Coachella, for the first time ever by a Korean group, and they did not disappoint.

BlackPink started with "Pink Venom", followed by "Kill This Love", "How You Like That", "Pretty Savage", "Kick It", "Whistle", "Boombayah", "Lovesick Girls", " Playing With Fire", "Type Girl", "Shut Down", staged songs like "DDU-DU DDU-DU" and "Forever Young".

In the 90-minute performance, Blackpink displayed a stage with a high level of perfection, such as splendid performances and stage composition. Everything from the stage crew to the performances and costumes was something to see and enjoy. Not only the overwhelming performance performed with 24 dancers, but also the "Taipa Girl" stage with a fan dance attracted attention with a unique performance. It was enough to print the strong presence of Blackpink.

In addition, the members also appealed to various charms through solo performances. Starting with Jennie's "You and Me", Jisoo's "Flower", Rosé's "On The Ground" and Lisa's "MONEY", which started as a dance performance, on a four-color stage. The cheers of the audience became even more intense with the stage where the color of each BLACKPINK member was felt.

Will culture conquer the world?
K-pop culture is conquering the big stages of the world, Black Pink is just one more chapter in this Korean pop success story, from the south of course. But although before they imitated or reproduced European and American paraphernalia, today they are recovering the roots of Korean culture, because they understand that in order to grow they must develop their own identity.

Idols on the K-pop banner are actively using traditional Korean culture in their music and performances. In the global market of pop culture, which is driven by advances and innovations, Korean traditions were relegated and hidden, South Korea wanted to be a global society, and Korean culture was considered by many to be an ossified entity, impeding the leap development. Not anymore. These days, K-pop idols use traditional culture as leverage to highlight their individuality and ensure diversity. It is a change in response to the growing demand for cultural diversity.

And wow, South Korea has a lot of original and traditional culture to offer the world, the recovery of millennial Korean culture is raw material for a new generation of artists, in all fields, who will reap the success of their predecessors in the world, guaranteeing to keep K-POP as well as the performing arts on the crest of the wave. The K-POP wave doesn't seem to end.
